Iphix mobile smartphone repair full#
IPhix now has 3 locations in Alberta and employs between 3 and 5 full and part time staff at any time. On March 1st 2011, iPhix entered a new chapter, opening our first permanent retail location at Eau Claire Market, where the service and accessory selection expanded to include other smartphones. I started running a kiosk at universities around Alberta, and in May 2010 I was proud to be part of Canada's economic recovery by creating a new job to staff our booth on Stephen Avenue Walk. After getting a ridiculous repair quote from my cellphone carrier, I tracked down the parts online and my ex-husband did the repair at our kitchen table.įrom necessity to opportunity, I took the results of that research and launched iPhix in the fall of 2009, providing mobile repair for all mobile devices, and selling parts, cases, cables and other accessories through the iPhix.ca website. I rely on my iPhone's timer to get the kids ready and out to school, so when it dropped on the hard tile floor one morning and the screen smashed, it was hard to hide my tears from the then three little ones. Now a single Mom of 4 kids I, Cindy Luffer, started as a result of my personal experience with a broken iPhone. IPhix is a Calgary-based shop founded and run by a Texas A&M engineer graduate with over 10 years pulp & paper experience.
